10 Movies Releasing in 2026

With 2025 coming to an end, it’s time to look toward the future of the silver screen. In anticipation of the new year in film, the following is a list of 10 movies releasing in 2026:

1. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie (April 3rd, 2026)

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie (2026) “is an animated film based on the world of Super Mario Bros., and follows The Super Mario Bros. Movie, which was released in 2023 and earned more than $1.3 billion worldwide. Both the 2023 film and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie are produced by Chris Meledandri of Illumination and Shigeru Miyamoto of Nintendo.” Moviegoers should expect to see Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach and Toad embark on a new adventure across the galaxy in a loose adaptation of the 2007 video game Super Mario Galaxy. 9. Avengers: Doomsday (December 18th, 2026)

Director Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part One (2021) and Dune: Part Two (2024) adapted two halves of Frank Herbert’s iconic 1965 novel Dune; Dune: Part Three (2026) will adapt Herbert’s 1969 follow-up Dune Messiah. Timothée Chalamet returns as Paul Atreides who looks to bring “to fruition the ancient scheme to create a superbeing ruler among men...” While no official details have been released yet, it’s safe to assume (based on the source material) that Part Three will focus on Atreides’ decision to embrace his role as Emperor to prevent a future only he can see as well as the grim consequences of his choices.
